Committee Members & Directors: Help shape the future of our club. Roles include President, Vice President, Treasurer, Administrator, and Directors for specific areas like Education, Lifesaving, and First Aid.
Grant Writer: Seek out and write applications for funding to upgrade our equipment, maintain the building, and support our teams.
Communications & Social Media: Spread the word about our club’s achievements, upcoming events, and community impact.
First Aid Officer: Manage our first aid room and supplies, or provide direct first aid support on patrol and at community events.
Radio Patrol Operator: Manage radio servicing, run training for members, and monitor communications during patrols.
UAV / Drone Pilot: Complete specialized operator training to provide an eye in the sky for search, rescue, and beach management.
Surf Carnival Land Officials: Keep our surf sports running! Roles include marshalling, line judging, timekeeping, and race calling.
Age Managers & Nipper Helpers: Organize and mentor children in our Nippers program, teaching them vital beach safety and sporting skills. Your help ensures we never have to turn a child away!
BBQ Crew: Keep our hungry lifesavers fed and raise vital funds by running the BBQ at club and community events.
Social & Fundraising Committees: Plan fun activities for members to connect, and organize events that raise critical funds for our lifesaving services.
Education & Training Assistants: Help our members train for events and maintain their lifesaving skills.
Clubhouse & Equipment Maintenance: Put your trade skills to work! We always need help with woodworking, fibreglassing, repairs, and transporting goods.
For those who want to be in the water, on the boats, or leading our beach patrols.
Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC): The perfect entry-level qualification for young people to start their lifesaving journey and help prevent drowning.
Bronze Medallion (Patrol Member): The core qualification to patrol the beach, perform water rescues, and provide water cover at events and carnivals.
Patrol Captain: Step up to manage a patrol team. You’ll oversee the setup, manage the crew, and ensure the beach is rescue-ready.
IRB Crew & Driver: Complete your Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) training to crew or drive the boats during patrols, carnivals, and rescues.
Emergency Call Out Team: Undertake advanced search and rescue training to respond to out-of-hours emergencies.
Emergency Services Flood Volunteer: Cross-train in flood rescue to assist the SES and other agencies during severe weather events.
Water Safety Team: Use your Bronze Medallion to supervise athletes in the water during Nipper activities and senior training.
Coaches & Training Support: Help train our members in board paddling, surf swimming, sprinting, and relay events.
Surf Carnival Water Officials: Manage the water arenas at carnivals by acting as a Starter, Check Starter, Marshall, or Finishing Judge.
